Gyming it

They sat, sized each other up.
He asked if she went to the gym,
She answered affirmative
And she liked a swim.

He bought the drink,
And chatted to a friend.
All the while she sat
wondered
How it would end.

If he might be the one,
If so, would she see?
Or like all the others
He’d drift by
Indeterminately.
